Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts

Oceania Cruises, along with its sister-brands Norwegian Cruise Line and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, has always stood ready to help our neighbors in times of need. Our hearts are heavy following the devastation that Hurricane Dorian brought to the Bahamas so we are doing what we can to help the Bahamian people get back on their feet.

Due to the overwhelming response, we reached our goal of raising a total commitment of $2 million for All Hands and Hearts to assist with emergency response efforts across the Bahamas, including debris cleanup and removal, and the rebuilding of community infrastructure such as houses or schools. We are extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to the Hope Starts Here hurricane relief program and helped us met our goal. We could not have met this goal without your generosity.

To address the immediate need for assistance, on September 5, Norwegian Breakaway departed Miami with hurricane relief supplies donated by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. employees, in addition to items collected by the City of Miami, Baptist Health South Florida, the 305 Gives Back foundation, and other organizations, which were delivered to Nassau, and the company’s private island Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas. The company will continue to transport supplies to the Bahamas each week on Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun to support shelters in Nassau for Abaco evacuees.

We stand with the people of the Bahamas and will continue to offer our support and assistance as they recover from this unprecedented event.
